The international Tourism Industry, which acts as an umbrella to the Hospitality Industry, is rapidly expanding and is predicted to be the world’s largest industry by the year 2020. 1.6 billion tourists will visit foreign countries annually which is 3 times more than the current flow. The Indian Government has become aware of this huge potential and has waked to relax the laws for foreign hospitality giants. Hilton, Marriott and Hyatt have already created a base in India and are gearing up to meet the huge potential of tourists that a country like India has to offer. In the process these hotels are playing the role of a beacon for other foreign hospitality investors. Providing tough competition at our end are the well renowned hospitality giants like Taj Hotels, Oberois, ITC, et al. To create and retain their image for their guests, the hotels require absolute professionals. Hospitality education is therefore set to provide the most significant career path to the future.

In addition to the key positions in the hotels, motels or resorts a variety of career choices will also be available in Airlines and Cruise Ships.

COURSE:-

The 3yrs Diploma Course consist of a package of courses designed to give the students an overall knowledge of all the important area of Hospitality Management and Catering Operations. The courses including in this package cover the areas of :

             * Introduction of Hospitality Today.
             * Managing Front Office Operations.
             * Housekeeping Management.
             * Hospitality Facilities Management and Design.
             * Hospitality Industry Financial Accounting.
             * Managing Hospitality Human Resources.
             * Supervision in the Hospitality Industry.
             * Food Production Principles.
             * International Hotel Management.
             * Food and Beverage Service.
             * Hospitality Sales and Marketing.
             * Hotel/Motel Security & Loss Prevention Management.

Practical knowledge is imparted in the well - equipped laboratories of the institute. In addition, the students will undergo practical training for two months in their first year, six months in the second year and two months in third year. The students who have been granted admission on S.S.C. Examination basis will undergo one year training in addition to the requirements stated above.

ELIGIBILITY:-

The candidate should have passed the HSC (12th ) Examination or it's equivalent. Students who wish to join after S.S.C. (10th) examination will undergo an additional one year training.

ADMISSION PROCEDURES :-

Only correctly filled application forms will be accepted by institute up to a preset date. Admission will be granted on successful completion of an interview.

SELECTION CRITERIA :-

Academic performance, participation in sports and extra curricular activities, personality of the candidate and performance in interview & entrance exam will be considered.
