1) The candidate will be considered eligible if he/she complies with the following conditions.
a. Must have passed qualifying examination viz. Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent with at least 50% marks if he/she is a General Category candidate and 45% marks if he/she is a Backward Class Category candidate.
b. Must have passed such a qualifying exam from any of the recognized school/junior college in Maharashtra State subject to relaxation in Rule 2.
c. Must have Indian nationality subject to relaxation in Rule 2.
2) The following category of candidates shall also be eligible for admissions even though they may not have passed the qualifying exam from any of the recognized schools in Maharashtra as required by Rule 1. Above.
a. Sons and daughters of persons domiciled in any State other than Maharashtra are subject to production of certificate of domicile in respect of the father and if the father if the candidate is not living or staying with the mother, domicile certificate of the mother should be produced.
b. Students passing the S.S.C. and H.S.C. exam from Maharashtra are not required to produce domicile certificate.
c. Sons and daughters of Central Govt. employees including Service Personnel or Govt. of India Undertaking employees who have been transferred year preceding the one in which admissions are effected. Other dependents are not included in this category.
d. Candidates sponsored by the Govt. of India against seats reserved for the Govt. of India.
e. Sons and daughters of Maharashtra State Govt. servants presently posted in Maharashtra but whose sons/daughters have passed the qualifying exam outside Maharastra, when such govt. servant was posted or on deputation outside Maharashtra. |
